Mission control do you copy

Get a text from B in Bangkok saying 'there is Zara here, repeat there is Zara'

This is followed by a bagillion texts, mostly from me, prattling on about sizes, styles, accessories. B does not cut me off. Ah, what a great fella...

Raindrops on my window, reminds me baby of you

Staying in the car waiting for B looks like this:

Girlfriend wishes it looked more like this:

I'd happily wait all week then, or at least until my gin&tonic finished...

If at first you don't succeed

It just goes to show, persistence pays off!!

By persistence, I mean constantly scrutinising the dress section of Victoria's Secret for this gem
I saw it... oh... hum... months ago. Loved it. But didn't buy it. Some wacko idea I had about saving money. Then it disappeared and I have been punishing myself/obsessing about it.

THEN, instead of doing my assignment for uni (Conveyancing - YAWN) this sunday morning, I decided to do one last teeny sneaky peek.

Cut to me doing my evil laugh whilst forking over my credit card details.

AT LAST IT IS MINE! MY PRECIOUS!

Ideally, I will look like nice lady in the photo, not Gollum from Lord of the Rings when I finally get into the dress.

and NOW I can get back to my homework.

Like a good little law student.

Who also bought two super soft Pima tees from Victoria's Secret with the maxi dress.

Nonstop drooling over interior decor = Assignment time again

Yes. I have diversified my modes of procrastination.

Today, we are focusing on decor along the theme of 'well, instead of getting anywhere near doing uni work, let's dream instead of what my home is going to look like'

As follows:

Bathroom (this has GOT to be one of the most important places, doesn't it?)

I'm really liking the darkwood options.. but the pale cabinets are so provincial frenchy, how could I not love? hmm decisions decisions.

Not much easier in the study either:

Or the kitchen (another majorly important room, too often with stingy sized sinks and NO counter space - how on earth would one manage?)

Procrastination thanks to Pottery Barn and Elle Decor. YUM!

... the expression 'hot mess' comes to mind when I saw this shot of J Alba from Gen Lux.

and i mean HOT.

if only my hair looked that good with a brush sticking out of it... you'd never catch me bothering with a comb ever again! once the fringe gets unmanageable i shall be relying on this shoot to justify my refusing to dally with combing devices once more. hah!

yes, that doll is ULTRA creepy. but didn't you get the memo? florals are back in for spring!

note to self: don't forget to stage similar photo shoot with humongous amounts of hairspray & bizarre props like cabbage patch doll.

Can't chat for long...

Just wanted to say what you've been hearing all day long:

Spring has sprung! hah. must make a note to self to come up with something else next spring.

My allergies have been hard at work to let me know.. have been sneezing so much the last few days my lucy liu style freckles nearly flew off my face. i wish. damn those freckles.

Anywho, really must dash off now to paint my nails. I'm doing Rimmel in London Clouds. I know, a blank canvas for spring. How original. Next I'll be prattling about floral arrangements..

Kisses! Achoo!

Sunday Brunch

Yes, yes... i know, it's already monday night and i've updated my monday night music recommendation (see my latest here)

But still... don't you find sometimes whilst you're watching a Boston Legal marathon, feeling a bit peckish, slightly sore from pilates reformer class and just a wee bit bored of reading College of Law papers.. don't you find your thoughts drifting into the realm of, 'oooo... sunday at Pasta Zu was scrummy!'

don't you?

Well, next time you're in Mosman... and find yourself thinking about luscious rustic moreish servings of pasta... pop in. My favourite is the smoked salmon spaghetti. YUM!

could it be.... I've signed a sponsorship deal with Witchery??!

No, no, no. I've just been binge shoe shopping at Witchery today! hah!

Why? Because I'm overdue, my precious sequinned ballerina flats are wearing thin. I looked down during this morning's teleconference with San Francisco, and watched in horror as a patch of sequinned leather fell off my shoe and plonked onto legal counsel's office floor. FAIL.

Is this true? Yes, dear reader. I never lie, only exaggerate. But I did reach down and press a stray flap of leather back onto my shoe, and hoped no one noticed the gust of wind as pieces of my shoe flapped around.

Seriously, you need to get new shoes, you say. Ah... I agreed, hence why I raced out of the day's second meeting and charged off to Witchery and got myself the following goodies:

I also got a pair of plain metallic flats... couldn't find a picture of them to throw up here. Now, before I get accused of being reckless, insane, and thoughtless, buying three pairs of shoes from the one store in the ONE SEASON *HORRORS* let me point out what I walked away from:

See? I was actually being super sensible. Although, if I were being incredibly sensible, I would have opted for these, instead of the latte coloured T-bar wedge (which I have OBSESSED over if you must know, which is odd, since I hate wedges, and I don't have an obsessive personality):
Yes, another wedge. Stop the madness.

So I made an executive decision, like Harrison Ford in Air Force 911 (that's 000 here in Australia), and went ALL OUT and got the latte wedges. Why get something that's versatile if it's got a wedge attached to it?

Also, the fact that the latte version of that shoe is sold out at Witchery pretty much EVERYWHERE* just spurred me on. I had to have it. So I could say I have it, and cackle as I try to press down flapping bits of sequinned leather back into my precious ballerina flats.

*By everywhere, I mean Chatswood - I only go to Mosman, Neutral Bay or Chatswood.. but just take my word for it ok. those things are SOLD OUT in store everywhere. and I guess I mean YOUR idea of everywhere.

Ironically, this post follows hot on the heels of my last post which was about, paying off my credit card, and only using it in non-shoe related emergencies. oops. don't worry guys. i TOTALLY budget for these shoes. so spend responsibly as they say in vodka ads xox

DONE AND DUSTED!!

Don’t give up guys!! I kept paying it off week by week, and I was lucky, and just received a tax return that helped me with the last of it.

I’m still keeping the card for emergencies (no, not shoes) but I’ve reduced the limit to match what I’ve got in my emergency savings fund.

Good luck everyone!!!

P-Money - Everything (ft. Vince Harder)

I remember seeing P Money open for The Roots in Newtown many many years ago, when celebrating my birthday didn't make me wonder what stunt was the universe going to pull on me this month..

There's something about this song that makes me feel like I just might groove my way through the week.

Happy Monday everyone xox

Hello jello

Thank god I gatoraded up today before training w brenny. After sprint drills we went for a "light" run from north Sydney down to macmahon's point up to milsons point and then back to north Sydney.. I hate public transport but I looked longingly at every bus that went by.
And now I can't feel my legs.

But amazed I did that well. I haven't run since, well, ever.

No turning back

Calendar invite for discussion w boss Friday morning and for presentation in the afternoon sent and accepted.

Boss said she will talk as much as possible but I'll have to 'drive'. I know she doesn't mean my Volvo.

How did the so called training get turned into a presentation? Omg omg omg.

I completely don't care about my exam for civil litigation tomorrow. I can't hear worry through the roar of the panic attack in my ears.
